Ocean View Spacious 2 Bedroom Condo With Beach Service / 609

Location is awesome, security is ridiculous. Positive: The property is kind of like a full service apartment complex, more like a hotel experience which will lead into what we didn't like below. The apartment was large enough for our family of 6 (all adults). The beds were comfortable (even the pullout) and the location/view from the terrace was exceptional. Additionally, there were bikes at the front desk free of charge and 2 beach lounge chairs included, which was nice. The pools were fun and the property is definitely ocean front. Negative: First off, the property security was WAY too intense. The listing makes it seem like you are booking an apartment, which means that I expected to grocery shop and fix meals for our stay. Well, security is militant on not allowing food to pass through the pool area, even on your way to the beach. Our family was harassed several times during our stay and told we had to walk all the way around the building to bring food to the beach. And by harassed I mean followed by 2 security guards and at one pointed threatened to get "thrown out". All for an $8 bog of popcorn that was purchased in the overpriced market ON THE PROPERTY. If you give up and purchase food and drinks by the pool, 2 chicken fingers are $22 and a basic cocktail is $20. The whole thing seems ridiculous for such an expensive room to start. If the property is going to present as an apartment, they need to allow guests to bring their own food to the pool/beach, period. Or they can be clear this is a hotel with security and many restrictions.
